Solid Wood Floors
Wood Floor Products that are one solid piece of wood that have tongue
and groove sides and come in either pre-finished or unfinished
styles.
Solid wood floor products are constructed in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 25/32" with some product
of 1".Some solid
wood floors can either be fully glued to the floor (thinner
versions) but most are nailed-down with a nailer which drives a nail
through the groove at an angle. You can sand, stain( if desired),
refinish, or recoat solid wood floors several times, which adds to their
appeal and to their long life. There are solid wood floors that are
100+ years old and are still in good condition

1.Strip
- Wood flooring
with a lineal
tongue and
groove
construction
most often in
1.5" and 2.25",
unfinished or
prefinished.
2. Plank
- Same as strip
except for widths.
Most start at 3" or
3.25" and go up in
width in 1"
increments. Some
varieties reach
12-14" also
unfinished or
prefinished
